I am blown away with the power of the new Digital Imaging tools and the endless possibilities for helping you create side-gigs.
I decided today, I had dive deeper and create T shirt designs with some of these new tools, so first I had to get setup then learn how to use them.

Step 1 If you have drawing skills or are a photographer, start there for your initial designs to make them unique to you.
Alternatively – you can purchase artwork an images to use through a large variety of platforms including
Canva.com you can create T-shirts in the program and print directly from there. Coming up with fun sayings using their Tshirt generator is an easy way to start, then pair it up with a selling platform (e.g. Etsy or Amazon) and start your T-shirt business.
Pixel.com, EYEem, Getty’s images or Adobe Stock have great image libraries – there are so many platforms to choose from. The key is to ensure you secure the license to use the image for commercial purposes if you intend to sell your T-shirt designs.

You will need photoshop or something like it to clean up your images and prepare them for the final products.
For the more savvy computer digital imaging specialists have a look at Midjourney, not a simple program to learn, but a heck of a lot of fun. Pick a genre and run with it, create a collection that’s uniquely shows off the brand you are looking to build.
I recommend for the Digital Imaging specialists to get a discord account (if you don’t already have one for gaming), as you need it for Midjourney.
Sounds simple, but it wasn’t, as the kids had copies of both discord and Midjourney they use for their artworks and programing/gaming chats, never simple! So once I got past that, and created my own accounts, I was up and running. My learning style is watch part of a youtube video, then after a few minutes start hacking around trying to make it work. (often later wishing I had followed instructions, but I am simply too impatient).
Step 3 Once you have your accounts and are online accept the invitations from Midjourney.
Step 4 Midjourney bot account and join one of the newbie servers. then create away! Ok if you prefer step by step video instructions – I followed this guy here and was up and running within 20 mins.
Step 5, (not necessary) you may wish to set up you’re own server on discord, and start navigating /imagine prompt type your image instructions here for yourself, and start your own group.
Step 6 For Canva, go straight to the Tshirt design section and there are designs ready to use. For using other digital imaging tools like Dalle-e or Mid-journey, start by learning more about Prompt engineering on the Midjourney discord servers. they have newbie servers you can join to get up and running.. Tips and tricks – There are hacks, it pays to learn prompt engineering, there are many courses on the Midjourney site, and discord. I created these images within 6 hours, so give it a try! see what you can come up with. I realise I am already a photographer and digital imaging specialist so it was a bit easier for me to grasp, but whether you are a newbie or a seasoned artist, I recommend you learn and be curious about these tool s and get up and running to accelerate you’re creativity with these new tools. They are an addition to your existing tools.
